The Chemistry Mobile Reaches New Platforms to Promote Science
【Jia-lin He, Tamsui Campus Report】Tamkang University’s Chemistry Mobile cooperated with the Ministry of Science and Technology and officials of the New Taipei City government to promote the New 5 North Stars of Science online on April 28th. The educational event took place at Jhongsiao Junior High School and was broadcasted to 27 different academic institutions attracting thousands of student viewers. The event was organized by Counselor of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ya-wen Kung, Dean of the College of Science, Bo-chang Wang, Principal of Jhongsiao Junior High, Yu-ying Yu, Director of Merck Millipore, Zi-hong Liao and Executive Director of Pop. Sci. Flyers, Qi-wen Zhou. For the opening of the event participants were divided into groups of yellow, green, red and blue to symbolize happiness, spring, passion and knowledge.
Three Colleges Cooperate with ERP to Create Internship
【Zhao-yu Chen, Tamsui Campus Report】The Colleges of Business and Management, Engineering and Liberal Arts, cooperated with ERP to promote the Bachelor Level Information Career Application Curriculum on May 4th for senior students in the Department of Business and Management, Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, and the Department of Information and Library Science, attracting a total of 150 students. The event was hosted by Dean of the College of Business and Management, Chien-liang Chiu, Dean of the College of Engineering, Chii-dong Ho and Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, Sinn-cheng Lin.
The College of International Studies goes on Quest for knowledge in Japan
【Yu-xuan Zhou, Tamsui Campus Report】The College of International studies utilized the mid-term period to travel to Japan for an academic exchange from April 26th to the 29th. Vice President of International Affairs, Wan-chin Tai, Associate Professor of the Graduate Institute of Asian Studies, Hsi-hsun Tsai, Professor of the Graduate Institute of the Americas, I-hsin Chen, Professor of the Department of the European Studies, Chiu-ching Kuo, and Assistant Professor of the Graduate Institute of China Studies, Chien-fu Chen, travelled to sister school, Waseda University, to attend a summit to discuss “the Relationship of America and Japan / China and Japan and the rights of the Southern Seas.” The event carefully examined and explored the future of mainland China in regards of its neighboring countries.
