On December 11, 2024, at 1:00 PM, the Guidance Section under the Office of Student Affairs held the "2024 Academic Year Chang Yeo Lan Scholarship Award Ceremony" in the Yeo-Lan Hall of the Hsu Shou-Chlien International Conference Center. With the theme "Tamkang Sustainability Together with Chang Yeo Lan," the ceremony was hosted by President Huan-Chao Keh. Over 300 attendees, including Vice President for Academic Affairs Hui-Huang Hsu, Vice President for Administrative Affairs Chun-Hung Lin, Vice President for International Affairs Hsiao-Chueh Chen, faculty, staff, scholarship recipients, and their families, witnessed alumnus Hang-Chien Hsu’s generous contribution to benefit future Tamkang students.

Taipei City Alumni Association Awards NT$2.1 Million in Scholarships to 160 Recipients
The Taipei City Tamkang University Alumni Association raised scholarships and hosted the 2024 Academic Year Public Welfare Platform Award Ceremony on the morning of December 8, 2024, at the Sing Liang Dian Garden Banquet. Scholarships in 4 categories - “Unity,” “Outstanding Academic Performance,” “Self-Reliance,” and “Enthusiastic Service” - were awarded. A total of 64 sponsors from 11 alumni and societal groups contributed, benefiting 160 students with scholarships totaling approximately NT$2.1 million. The ceremony was attended by nearly 238 participants, including faculty, students, alumni, parents, sponsors, and volunteers, celebrating a moment filled with joy and honor.

Wu-Tung Chen Awards Scholarships, Encourages Students to Set Goals and Persevere
The College of Business and Management held the Wu-Tung Chen Scholarship Award Ceremony for this semester at noon on December 3, 2024, in B302E. Wu-Tung Chen, an alumnus of the Department of International Trade (now the Department of International Business) and a recent recipient of the Golden Eagle Award, traveled from Kaohsiung to personally present the scholarships. He greeted each awardee with a handshake, expressing his congratulations. This semester’s recipients were Jing-Yuan Peng (4th-year Business Administration), Yu-Jun Yao (3rd-year Information Management), Yin-Xuan Ding (2nd-year Public Administration), Ting-Yi Wu (1st-year Information Management), and Kuan-Hsuan Lin (1st-year Accounting). Each student received a scholarship of NT$10,000.
Architecture Department Celebrates 60th Anniversary: Over 100 Alumni Return to Donate for Department Renovation
The Department of Architecture held its 60th-anniversary celebration on November 30, 2024, hosting a warm "Homecoming" gathering for alumni from 10 AM to 4 PM. The event attracted over a hundred alumni, including renowned architects Jou-Min Lin and Chia-Ju Lin, Taiwan Design Research Institute President Chi-Yi Chang, and Architecture Department Alumni Association President Chiu-Li Kuo, among other prominent figures. On the day of the event, alumni enthusiastically donated over NT$4 million to support the department’s development, covering scholarships, construction contributions, and more. Department Chair Chun-Jung Ko stated that the funds would be used for projects such as the façade and entrance space of the department building, with renovations expected to be completed by April next year.

National High School Creative Chemistry Competition: Challenges, Experiments, and Tours - Yanping High School Secures Double Gold
To spark interest in chemistry among high school students, deepen their understanding of chemistry's impact on human life, and enhance their basic knowledge and experimental skills, the Department of Chemistry at Tamkang University held the 19th National Chung-Ling Chemistry Innovation Contest on December 7, with events running all day at the Chung-Ling Chemistry Hall. 22 gold medals for the group practical competition were awarded, both won by teams from Yanping High School. The winning teams included members Chien-Hsun Wang, Tzu-Chun Hsu, and Hao-Chun Liao, as well as You-Chen Li, Hsuan-Ju Wang, and Chie-Lin Kuo. Each team received a cash prize of NT$4,500 and a certificate. Additionally, 4 silver medals and 6 bronze medals were awarded.
