TKU GRADUAGES HAVE MADE IT TO THE TOP SPOT AGAIN FOR BEING ONE OF THE FAVORITE EMPOLYEEES TO TAIWAN’S ENTERPRISES
PRESIDENT FLORA CHANG IS SET TO VISIT FIVE EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES
It’s spring in Europe, when trees are sprouting with tender green leaves and flowers are booming brazenly with all sort of bright colors, then it must be the high time to call on TKU’s existing and potential sister universities there. President, Dr. Flora Chang and her entourage will travel to four European countries between April 22 and May 4, stopping by at Charles University in Prague in the Czech Republic, University of Budapest in Hungary, the University of Vienna in Austria, Bristol University and the University of Edinburgh in the UK. Her entourage includes Dr. Feng Chao-kang, the Vice President for Academic Afffairs, Dr. Lin Jyh-horng, the Director of the Lanyang Campus, Dr. Chen Hwei-mei, the Director of the International Exchange and International Education, and Dr. Tzou Chong-ko, the Director of the Graduate Institute of European Studies.
VICE-PRESIDENT FENG HAS RETURNED FROM HIS VISIT TO CHINESE UNIVERSITIES ON MAINLAND
Dr. Feng Chao-kang, the Vice President of the Academic Affairs, has just returned from his three day visit to some of the universities in Southern China, taking home with him some warm memories and promising future cooperation. He, together with several other faculty members from the College of Education were invited by these universities that include South China Normal University, South China University of Technology, and Sun Yat-Sen University, Jinan University, whose delegates in fact had come to TKU last year for an international conference on renovation in higher education. As a gesture of reciprocation and a further realization of academic exchanges, Vice-president Feng, being the Chair of the Special Committee for Cross-Strait Academic Exchanges, attached great importance to this trip. And so were the local dignitaries of Guangdong Province. The Director of the Province’s Board of Education, in particular, expressed the wish of making tangible steps towards strengthening higher educational exchanges between them and TKU, in a dinner gala that was especially arranged for TKU delegates.
