NO TEMPERATURE TAKEN, NO ENTRANCE TO TAIPEI CAMPUS

Taipei Campus has set up a temperature-taking station at the entrance to keep SARS away from school. Disinfection has been carried out in the whole building periodically and a catalytic light for fumigation was equipped in elevator to prevent SARS from spreading.

A temperature-taking station was set up at the entrance of Taipei campus last Monday, which was equipped with four electrical thermometers; all faculty, staff members and students should have their temperature taken before entering school. Students and staff members are required to show identification before entering the campus. A label will be stuck to those who have the normal temperature. Students will also have to wear masks before entering school and no visitors are permitted to enter school during the period.

Taipei Campus will disinfect every week and cleaning chores will be carried out every day, especially the place where the hands often contact to prevent the infectious source from spreading. Pan Wen-chin, Chief of the General Affairs Section, said that under the direction of Chairperson of Board of Trustees Carrie W.C. Chiang Chang, catalytic lights will be set in the elevator, which can not only clean the air but also eliminate the offensive odor.
