Two Vice Presidents of China’s Zhejiang Shuren University, Dr. Xu Xuqing and Dr. Zhang Qing, leading a visiting group consisted of 10 persons, visited Tamkang University on December 29, 2008. The visitors from across the Taiwan Strait were warmly welcomed by Dr. Tai Wan-chin, Vice President for International Affairs, Dr. Lee Pei-wha, Director of the Office of International Exchanges and International Education, and Dr. Hsu Chawn-yang of Department of Mass Communication.

The Chinese group first met with TKU President Flora Chia-I Chang at 11 a.m. before visiting Carrie Chang Fine Arts Center, Maritime Museum and library in the Tamsui campus. Both vice presidents gave credit to Tamkang’s various achievements in establishing each departments’ vision, mission as well as “House of Quality.” “By establishing the ‘House of Quality’ for each department, the school authority will be able to set up a clear goal for its future development,” said Dr. Tai.
