2010 JOB FAIR LAUNCHED ON MARCH 25: 30000 VACANCIES

The yearly Job Fair, organized by Career Planning and Placement Section, Office of Student Affairs, was launched on March 25 at Poster Street and Student Activity Center. 30,000 job vacancies are waiting for the suitable applicants. Dr. C. I. Chang, President of TKU hosted the curtain-cutting ceremony, initiating with dragon and lion dance show.

About 50 companies and organizations, including Ministry of Military Defense, Learn Book Publication, Tatung Co, King Yuan Electronics, participate in the fair. The new participants of this activity include Sakura Boutique Hotel, Hai-Pa-Wang Restaurant, Taroko Baseball and Softball. The Northern District Recruitment Center of National Armed Forces has offered 20,000 vacancies for voluntary service soldiers. Those who are interested can fetch brochures from the service counter. The students who have filled in questionnaires, and got a visit certificate with at least six stamps of the participant plants can refer the information to their personal learning profiles at the website of Career Planning and Placement Section. In addition, the Counseling Section had set a “Lucky Post House” for placement counseling. The psychometry quizzes and games will help the students understand their future direction more clearly. Those who are wondering whether they have joined the right departments, whether to find a job or go for advanced study, can visit the post for inquiries. In the meantime, the TKU library has especially displayed books about placement and career exploration since March 25. ( ~Chen Chi-szu )
