一、背單字有方法，以下聯想式的單字記憶法，事半功倍，每一串都須背2-3次。

1. 珠寶的聯想：

jewelry → jeweler→ imitation jewelry → fine jewelry → ruby →

珠寶 珠寶商 假珠寶 真珠寶 紅寶石

sapphire → jade → coral

藍寶石 玉 珊瑚

2. 數字的聯想：

number→odd→even→digit→three-digit number→digital camera

數字 奇數 偶數 數字 三位數 數位照相機

（※number和digit不同：This number has four digits）

3. 手機的聯想：

cell phone→earphone→text somebody→static→poor communication

手機 耳機 寫簡訊 雜音 收訊不好

→electromagnetic waves→carcinogenic→disposable chopsticks

二、每一個單字都必須用在句子中，否則白忙一場：
