A beauty pageant organized by the Office of Student Affairs took place on November 8th at the Student Activity Center, attracting hoards of screaming female and male fans that wanted to know who would be chosen as the most beautiful girl and guy on campus!

After some walking, posing and changes of clothes, Lin Xu-ru, a junior of the English Department, won the title for the Most Beautiful Girl on campus, whereas Hsu Wei-shu, also a junior of the Department of Banking and Finance won the title of the Coolest Guy on campus. Lin won with her elegant poise, slow and considerate talking style, while Hsu upped his competitors by his easy manner and friendly smile. Both won NT$ 10,000 prize money for being the way they are.

Good look aside, there were prizes given to students who were considered being nice, being self-disciplined by not eating, and having extraordinary figures or even bone structure! Awards of best cheerleaders were also announced that day. (~Ying-hsueh Hu )
