Beginning today (April 22), a Corporate Talent Recruitment Hearing will be held at TKU. Career Planning/Employment Counseling Section, Student Affairs Office is the unit responsible for such an activity.

As everybody knows, depression has become today’s by-word; students of TKU should consider it a blessing that there are still 62 enterprises/businesses interested in recruiting Tamkang graduates.

Ms. Hsu Ching-sheng, Employment Counseling Section, indicated that some students might think that the campus talent recruitment show is aimed at students about to graduate or those with specific majors. But in fact, the sooner a student gets ready for the job market, knowing its requirements in anticipation, the better will be his/her future in career planning. For this reason, not just seniors, but students regardless of their year distinction, should come forward and take a look at the show. She also reminded all the students that if “you should think that only technological industries are in short of data processing personnel, you are wrong; in the field of teaching and government agencies, they may be also recruiting personnel of similar caliber.” So, her advice is: one should try to unlock the limit in career planning and this is the accurate approach.

It is estimated that there are altogether 21 corporate talent recruitment seminars and 9 job hunting lectures scheduled on TKU campus. The following enterprises/agencies as Taiwan Panasonic Electric Co., Ltd., Cheng Ping Co., Ltd., Hua Hsin Bank, National Security Bureau, China Rentals Enterprises, Delta Electronics, Hsin Hsin Electronics, Yuan Hsiung Life Insurance Co. will only participate in 2 kinds of activities. So, interested students should take a note of that.

On the other hand, Career Planning/Employment Counseling will also hold from April 30 thru May 1 a Corporate Talent Recruitment Pageant at the Exhibition Hall, Business Building, in which 53 name-brand enterprises will take part, including KGT, National City Bank of New York, First International Computer, Inventech Co., Ltd., 104 Manpower Bank, United Daily Online Personnel, etc. A total of 8000 Job Counseling Special Issue pamphlets will be delivered to students who visit the show everyday.
