GRADUATE STUDENTS AND TWO ALUMNI OF INSTITUTE OF THE AMERICAS PASS THE EXAM FOR DIPLOMATIC OFFICIALS
THREE GROUPS FROM BELGIUM, CHINA AND MACAU VISITED TKU
17 SERVICE TEAMS DID VOLUNTEER SERVICE AROUNG THE COUNTRY DURING WINTER VACATION
17 service teams had taken the opportunity of winter vacation to do services around the country. They are Changhua High-school Alumni Association, Taichung Region High-school Alumni Association, Erh Ch’I High-school Alumni Association, Pingtung High-school Alumni Association, Hualien High-school Alumni Association, Innovative Information and Technology Department Association, Assocaition of Campus Ambassador, Human Animal Care Club, and the winner of the Award of Excellence of 2009 Evaluation of College Student Clubs, Tamkang Recreational Activity Counseling Club. The flag-passing ceremony, hosted by Dr. Kao Po-yuan, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, took place at B712, Business Management Building, on Jan. 18.
OVERSEAS CHINESE YOUTH OBSERVATION GROUP WAS HELD FROM JAN.6 TO 26
On behalf of the Overseas Compatriot Affairs Commission, TKU’s Division of Continuing Education (DCE) held “Overseas Chinese Youth Observation Group” from Jan. 6 to 26, leading 78 Overseas Chinese youth from Central and South America, New Zealand, Australia, and Germany to experience the culture and scenery of Taiwan. Through this tour, the participants not only learned more about Taiwan, but also made many friends from different countries. After getting along for a half month, the members had built close friendship, so when the tour was going to end, they hugged each other with tears and were reluctant to say goodbye.
