EU Activities at the Tamsui Campus

To celebrate TKU’s 61st anniversary and promote research on the EU and the relationship between Europe and Asia, the TKU Center for European Union Studies and the European Union Center in Taiwan will be jointly holding a special EU exhibition that will elucidate the process of unification, EU foreign policy and its relationship with Asia.

Two Distinguished Guests Visit Tamkang

The President of the Russian Academy of Education, Nicolac Nickendorff, and Academia Sinica Academician, Dr. Gaponiuk Peter, visited the Tamsui Campus on the 5th October. They were received by the TKU Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Gwo-hsin Yu, along with the Dean of International Affairs, Dr. Pei-Wha Chi Lee, the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Kao Hsun-fang, the Chairman of the Department of Russian, Dr. Chang Ching-gwo, the Director of the Graduate Institute of European Studies, Dr. Chiu-ching Kuo, and a Professor from the Department of Russian, Dr. Alexander Pisarer.

The TKU Seminar on Instructional Administrative Reform

On October 14, TKU is set to hold its annual Seminar on Instructional Administrative Reform. The seminar will be attended by all senior TKU staff and will center on opportunities for expanding the recruitment of Mainland Chinese students.

A Junior Abroad Seminar at Lanyang

On 5th October, the TKU Dean of International Affairs, Dr. Pei-Wha Chi Lee, hosted the TKU Seminar on International Affairs at the Clement Chang International Conference Hall, Lanyang Campus. The “seminar” was in effect an informal discussion and Q&A in which close to 100 TKU students got to share their thoughts and ask questions about the Junior Year Abroad Program.

TKU Graduate Institutes Favored by Taiwanese Enterprises

Each year, Global Views Monthly and 104 Job Bank team up to conduct surveys in a variety of areas. These surveys then become key reference points for public and provide institutions throughout Taiwan. One recent survey conducted was the “2012 Employers’ Favorite Graduate Institute” Survey, which examined the most popular Graduate Institutes among employers in seven separate academic fields. In two of these fields – “information, engineering, and electrical engineering” and “business / management, finance, and tourism” – Tamkang ranked first among all private universities in Taiwan.
