The 2005 University and Graduate School Exposition, hosted by TKU, was held on July 16 and 17, simultaneously at Taiwan University, Taichung International Trade Center, Kaohsiung Industry and Business Exhibition Center, and Hualien County Gymnasium. R.O.C. President Shui-bian Chen (center), Taipei City Mayor Ying-jeon Ma, Minister of MOE, Cheng-sheng Tu(2nd, left ), and TKU President Flora C. I. Chang (2nd, right) attended the curtain-raising ceremony. President Chen announced that government will invest 50 billions NT dollars in five years to promote the development of higher education. The scope of the fair was grand in every one of the four exposition places. More than 70 universities attending the fair with diverse original fashions to attract would-be students. TKU especially made an idol drama film—Looking for Piao Piao—for the exposition. (Chi-szu Chen)
