Tamkang University President Dr. Horng-jinh Chang attended the “2004 Northeastern Asian University President Congress” held by Hokuriku University, Japan, on April 9. Also, President Chang accompanied by Japanese Department Chair, Charng-huei Liou, and Carrie Chang Fine Arts Center Vice Director, Ping-huang Chang, visited Kyoto University and a sister University Kyoto Tachibana Women’s University. He is scheduled to return to Taiwan in the afternoon on April 14.
President Chang was scheduled to participate in the welcome party held by Hokuriku University and attended the Congress on April 11. Then he was to visit Kyoto University and a sister University Kyoto Tachibana Women’s University; he expected to meet exchanged students from TKU and Tamkang alumni. This visit was scheduled on Tuesday in that Carrie Chang Fine Arts Center Vice Director, Ping-huang Chang, was to exchange his experience on the understanding and promotion of calligraphy.
