Dept. of Physics, Graduate Institute of European Studies, and College of Education will respectively hold conference on 10th and 11th.

Dept. of Physics will hold “The fourth International Electronic and Atomic Structure Conference” in Chueh Sheng International Conference Hall. 16 physical scholars from America, Europe, and Asia will come to Tamkang to discuss on issues related to superconductor, and metal oxide compound electron and atomic structure.

Graduate Institute of European Studies will host “The European Constitution and the Integration of Europe” at the same time. The representative of European Union, Mr. Brian McDonald, and the head of British Trade & Cultural Office, Taiwan, Mr. Derek Marsh are invited to give speeches.

Wu Mau-Kun , committee chairman of National Science Council, lawmaker Tsai Ying-Wen, Larry Yu-yuan Wang, Director General, Department of European Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Lin Min-Yi from Office of International Culture And Education, Ministry of Education are all invited to attend the discussion. 20 papers by 13 European scholars and 7 Taiwanese scholars will be presented at this conference.

In addition, College of Education of TKU, Guangdong Higher Education Society, Dongguan Taiwanese Education Foundation, and Taiwan Businessmen's Dongguan School will co-host the symposium on “Cross-Strait Higher Education Reform and Development” in Ching Sheng International Conference Hall of Tamsui campus, and in Lanyang campus at the second day.
