FALL SEES AN ART FESTIVAL UNVEILED IN TAMSUI

When fall comes, the air turns cooler, the light turns softer—a perfect season for an art festival in Tamsui. This year the festival entitled “Music, Art, and Sea Breeze” will have some of its events and activities jointly organized by the Carrie Chang Fine Arts Center of TKU. Therefore, throughout October and November, a series of concerts, art exhibitions and exhibitions at the Maritime Museum will take place.

The first music event will be kicked off by Lin Sheng-hsiang’s 2006 TKU concert at 7:30 pm on Oct. 11 at the Carrie Chang Music Hall. An accomplished songwriter and singer (a winner of the 3rd Golden Songs Awards), he will perform with a renowned Japanese guitarist on that night. During which, he will present one of his newest songs, “Planting Trees”, to invite audiences to contemplate on the life and values of farming through his poetic lyric and melancholic melody. Tickets to the concert will be available from Oct. 4th onward at the Carrie Chang Fine Arts Center (CCFAC).

Following this concert, a soprano, Chang Wen-hou, who is from Tien-jing, China, will sing at the music hall on October 12th. She has given solo concerts as well as sung in operas in Hong Kong, Mexico and St. Petersburg, Russian; she can sing in various languages with her soothing voice. So don’t miss her concert.
