Dr. Huey-fang Ju, Center for Teacher Eduction, TKU, and one of the students in High School Education Curriculum course, Yin-chen Lee, respectively won the award of “model practicum teacher(student)” and “distinguished practicum counselor.” in the “2007 award for practicum teaching” sponsored by MOE. This second yearly competition highlight the role of advisor and practicum teacher. Dr. Ju, among five winners is the only winner from private university, and Ms. Lee, among 20 winners, is one of two winners from private university.

Dr. Li-chun Li, Director of the Center for Teacher Education, indicates that “the Center strives to nurture better teachers for the education field, and we have excellent achievements in MOE’s evaluation and Teacher Certification Examination. Their awards add to the reputation of the Center.” Dr. Ju has been the advisor of the practicum teachers since 1997 school year, and has won lasting recognition. Ms. Lee, has been directed by the Center to practicum teaching in Jheng De Junior High School for a half year. Her hardworking and excellent performances are highly recognized. Lee attributes the award to the help and direction of all the teachers of the Center. “I am always interested in teaching. During the time of my practice, I find the kids are naughty but cute, and I have a wonderful time.” (~ Chen Chi-szu )
