The Mitsubishi Corporation of Japan has decided to donate NT$ 800,000 to the Graduate Institute of Japanese Studies of TKU in an effort of promoting Sino-Japanese relations and research. The signing ceremony will be held at Rm. T1117 on October 26, attended by Ogura Kazuhira, the CEO of Mitsubishi, Taiwan, and Dr. Chen Kan-nan, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, together with Dr. Tai Wan-chin, the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Dr. Jen Eau-tin, the Chair of the institute, is extremely pleased with the prospect this generous donation can bring. He will use this money to upgrade facilities and hold more international conferences. He is grateful to Mitsubishi’s support to the research his institute has been engaged in recent years. He understands that this gesture of donation is a seal approval from the company who agrees with the research ranging from legal, economical to trade affairs conducted by his institute. With the backup of this money and that of the company, Dr. Jen hopes for better development in this kind of research. ( ~Ying-hsueh Hu )
