Dr. Ihron Rensburg, the vice chancellor and principal of the University of Johannesburg (UJ) of South Africa, accompanied by Dr. James Henry Peter Ellis, the director of the university’s International Affairs Office, arrived TKU for a friendly visit on November 2. They met with Dr. Tai Wan Chin, the vice president for International Affairs of TKU and the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Hsun-fang Kao for a briefing and a speech. Although UJ is not officially affiliated with TKU presently, through an exchange such as this, opportunities may present themselves for TKU to have a presence in Africa in the future.
