After the journey of the “Mexico Pacific Cruise Trip” in 2006 at South California of the United States, the “2008 Reunion Association of the World TKU Alumni” will take place at Shanghai, with a fascinating touring itinerary along the beautiful riverside landscape and towns of Chiang-Nan. The time is from Oct. 31 to Nov. 4, and the cost of the five-day trip is 29,250 NTD per person. The TKU staff and alumni are all invited to join in the trip. Chairperson of the Shanghai Alumni Association for Taiwanese Businessmen, Cheng Jia-chuan indicates that the reason for cooperating with Star Travel is that the manager of the travel agent, Ke-jing Li, is the alumnus of our Department of History. There are about 150 Tamkang Alumni Associations in the world, and over 70 of them are in Taiwan. Moreover, because of the frequent communication between Taiwan and China, the Alumni Associations chooses the metropolitan Shanghai as the 2008 reunion place. It is their hope to put the alumni’s hearts together. The symposium of “The Future and Vision of the Development of the Industry between the Two Sides of the Taiwan Straits” will focus on the practical experiences, and will invite successful Taiwanese businessmen among our alumni to share their successful experiences and discuss on the future challenges.
