President Flora C. I. Chang and Corvinus University of Budapest President Tamas Meszaros signed academic exchange agreement at Ching-sheng International Conference Hall on June 8; thus Corvinus University became TKU’S 104TH sister university, which was also TKU’s 1st Hungarian sister university. President Tamas Meszaros said that President Chang had visited his university before, and he had a deep impression on TKU. He was happy to come here to sign the academic exchange agreement with TKU. President Chang pointed out that there were frequent exchanges between the 2 universities. She hoped to have more substantial exchanges such as more student and faculty member exchanges, or double degree exchange programs to create better academic reputation and international competitiveness.
Corvinus University of Budapest was foundered in 1920, and its predecessor was Hungary Royal Economic Academy. Now it has 7 colleges including Colleges of Business, Public Relations, Botanic Gardening, etc. According to the Webometrics Ranking by the CSIC in Spain, it ranked 13th in Hungary. ( ~Dean X. Wang )
