In order to cultivate the talents for global cultural and creative industries, TKU’s Innovative Center for Cultural and Creative Industries, subsidized by MOE, will hold 2009 Cultural and Creative Industries Forum at Ching-sheng International Conference Hall and T505 at 9 a.m. on Oct. 30. Hosted by Dr. Chao Ya-ly, Prof. of Dept. of Mass Communication, the Forum will invite Pao & Paw and P Paper’s founder Mr. Pao I-min, who is also the top 7th art director in the world, Ms. Lin Fang-yin, General Manager of Bright Ideas Design, Mr. Chen Yen-fu, General Manager of Huashan Cultural Park, and other outstanding people in industrial and academic fields to discuss the issues of cultural and creative industries.
The Forum will mainly focus on the current structure of global cultural and creative industries, as well as on the future development trend and overall international arrangement. Through discussing the investigation of cultural and creative industries and knowledge management strategy, as well as the application of eye tracking research on cultural and creative industries, the Forum hopes to promote the competitiveness of Taiwan’s cultural products, and to increase the influence of our cultural and creative discourse in the world.
Apart from many papers to be presented in the Cultural and Creative Industries Forum, another Industrial and Academic Forum, which will put emphasis on the structure of global cultural and creative industries as well as Taiwan’s international arrangement and operation of the industries, will be held at 4:20 p.m. on the same day. Hosted by Dr. Flora C.I. Chang, President of TKU, this Forum will invite Mr. Huang Po-ching, Chief of Design Industry Consultancy Section, Taiwan Design Center, Mr. Huang Kun-chun, expert of Institute for Information Industry, and Mr. Chiang Tsung-hung, CEO of National Culture and Art Foundation, to join in.
