In memory of the late Russian Associate Professor V. M. Krioukov, the Department of Russian held a concert “Russian Recalling Melodies: To the Respected Late Professor Krioukov” at Carrie Chang Musical Hall on Oct 29 at 7:00 pm. The Concert included poem recitations, Russian classic melodies with piano and xylophone dual instrumental performance, Russian song “I Am Free Now” by a student band and “The Moon Represents My Heart, ” the most loved Chinese song by the late Professor Krioukov. Russian Assistant Professor Hsin-yi Kuo led the chorus in singing the final Chinese song, which drew a fine conclusion of the Concert. Russian Department Chair Ching-gwo Chang said, “We’re happy to take this opportunity to recall our good colleague and excellent teacher, Professor Krioukov, who will forever live in our hearts.
