NEW EDUCATION TREND WITH 3-P CHAIN EDUCATION

The College of Education hosted a seminar on “3-P Chain Education” at Chung-ling Chung-cheng Hall on Dec. 2. Fwu-tyan Ho, Trustee of Dongguan Taiwanese Businessman Dependent’s School, was invited as the speaker. Mr. Ho explained that the concept of “3-P Chain Education” derived from two ancient Chinese educational ideas “Teaching all comers without discrimination” and “Teaching students in accordance with their aptitudes.” Through the effects of 3-P Chain Education (proper aptitude, proper capacity, proper time), the school can inspire and develop students’ maximum potentials.

Fwu-tyan Ho was once the Chair of TKU’s Department of Educational Media Science, (now the Department of Information and Library Science). In his speech, with his rich educational experiences and attainment, he shared his views on the new trend of education. His lecture attracted many faculty members and students. The Dean of the College of Education, Hsun-fang Kao said that “3-P Chain Education” was a kind of combined concept. It indicated that education was not based on any single concept but multiple ones which could inspire faculty and students to explore new directions and learn more knowledge. Curriculum and Instruction master sophomore Yao-zheng Yang mentioned that the speech not only provided him with useful reference for his master’s theses but also enabled him to see the new trend of educational development.
