A TKU research team from the Department of Physics recently gained an NT $50 million grant jointly provided by the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center and the National Science Council. The team consists of faculty from the TKU Physics Department, including professor Pong Way-Faung, professor Chang Ching-Lin, and associate professor Du Chao-Hung.
Together, this group is set to construct a soft x-ray emission spectroscopy station with which to research synchrotron radiation.
The Chair of the Department of Physics, Dr. Zhou zi-cong, noted that research carried out by the department on synchrotron radiation has lead to continuing advances in this academic field in Taiwan.
