Sun Li, a freshman of the Graduate Institute of Russian, Tamkang University (TKU) will recite the poem on National Double Tenth celebration ceremony which falls on Oct. 10.
Sun was chosen by the National Day Celebration Organizing Committee from among more than 100 representatives of universities and colleges around the nation.
Sun, born and grew up in Tainan City, has participated in various contests, including recitation, lecturing and debate. She is good at both mandarin and Taiwanese dialect. She has won many titles of contests, including champion of the promptly speech contest of the junior and senior high schools in Tainan City, champion of the Taiwanese dialect contest at Senior High Schools in Tainan City and ranked third of nation-wide speech contest.
Sun thanked TKU for giving her this opportunity and said that she would do her best to perform well in the upcoming mission.
