【Reported by Qian-jing Chen, Tamkang Times】A professor from the Department of Chemistry, Kuo-jen Hwang established the Advanced Filter for the Technical Academic Industry Alliance on the 1st of last month. This is one of the projects that has been promoted by the Ministry of Science and Technology and is being carried out by Chemistry and Engineering Professors of Taiwan University, Kuo-Lun Tung and Da-ming Wang, Professor from the Zhong Yuan University, Qing-rong Zhuang, and Tamkang University’s Tung-wen Cheng. The core ideology of this alliance is to strengthen global industrial skills training within the academic curriculum.
Kuo-jen Hwang expressed that during the process of filtering industrial production there is a lot of room for improvement. This improvement is essential for creating higher quality and more effective products. He stated, “Any industries that need assistance with testing or filtering their production can contact our alliance. We can also share our research and developments with the students. This type of operation has benefits on all sides.” This alliance made up of three universities has divided the filtering process into 3 separate operations. Taiwan University is responsible for the designing, Zhong Yuan University is responsible for material assessment and inspection and Tamkang University is responsible for manufacturing.
