【Reported by Bo-xian Lu, Tamkang Times】Renowned Taiwanese writer and Alumni from the Department of Mass Communication, Wenyin Chung, made an appearance on the television show, “Face and Book.” Her appearance was on the show’s 14th episode was titled, “Seeking My Travel Experience,” and was focused on letting the audience get a better understanding of Taiwanese literature.
This year Wenyin Chun was also nominated by the Ministry of Culture to stay in America’s Santa Fe, New Mexico for three months to write an artistic piece for on the differences of literature between Taiwan and other areas. The Ministry of Culture also worked in cooperation with Los Angeles City College to support Wenyin Chung to give a lecture titled, “The Voice of Taiwanese Literature.” In addition Wenyin Chung was presented with the Golden Bell Award for her writing involving the Hakka TV show’s dramatic series. Altogether she has been honored with the Literature Award of China Times, Taiwan’s United Daily News Award, Taipei’s Literary Award, Short Story Award, Long Story Award, Thoughts Collection Award and more, making her an excellent representative of both TKU and Taiwanese Literature.
