【Reported by Xin-yu Wang, Tamkang Times】Following Tamkang University being awarded the Most Preferred Graduates for Employment in Cheers Magazine for the 18th consecutive year, comes the “2014 Annual Graduated Student Work Status and Satisfaction Survey” discussion forum. This forum was held to discuss the results of the analysis that researched TKU alumni’s current work situation. Executive Director of the Office of Alumni Services and Resources Development, Chun-young Perng, stated, “In accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education, some of the questions on our survey need to be modified in order to have a better understanding of alumni work status.”
During the discussion, the Director of the Statistical Survey Research Center, Bor-shyh Wen, explained, “The students that were able to take classes that gave them an opportunity to have work experience said that it proved to be invaluable. Also 34.3 percent of the students explained that they were able to find employment through connections related to professors and classmates. This verifies that the majority of employed alumni were able to find a career based solely on the professional skills obtained during their time at TKU.”
