【Ya-han Cao, Tamsui Campus Report】On May 7th the Center for European Union Studies held the Eastern Political and National Security Forum, inviting 17 European diplomats for an exchange focusing on East Asian relations. The event was hosted by Vice President of International Affairs, Wan-chin Tai. Director of the Graduate Institute of European Union Studies, Li-chuan Chen, expressed, “The economic relationship of Europe and East Asian is much like the cultural relationship of the two continents. Recently things it has become filled with promise as both sides are ever more enthusiastic regarding trade.” She then encouraged students to deepen their international understanding for the future development of Taiwan.
On may 19th and 21st the TKU European Union Business Forum took place. Li-chuan Chen stated, “It’s a rare opportunity to have so many enterprises work together for a common cause. This generation of students will not be limited to solely Taiwan for a career in business.”
