Dr. Javier Yea-Hong Chen Walks Through A Brilliant Life

Dr. Javier Yea-Hong Chen, former President of Tamkang and Honorary Professor of the Department of Western Languages, who won the 2nd Tamkang Elite Golden Eagle Award, passed away on March 13th and lived at the age of 88. The University is grateful for his outstanding contribution to Tamkang and has specially set up a funeral committee to assist in handling funeral matters. The funeral will be held at 2 pm on March 26th on the 1st Floor of Jing Yang Building, Zhen Hall No. 2, Mortuary Services Office Second Funeral Parlor.

The Soft Opening of Sung-Tao Halls 4 & 5. President Keh: Taking Students into the Highest Consideration

After more than 8 months of renovation, Sung-Tao Hall 4 and Hall 5 officially opened for trial operation at 10 AM on March 10th. The original faculty and staff dormitories of Gang and Yi are now transformed into beautiful areas with stylish designs, comfortable, secured, and family-style student dormitories. A junior in the Department of Computer Science & Information Engineering, Chung-Ting Cheng, moved in on March 8th. She mentioned, "The new dormitory is beautiful, clean, and there is plenty of public spaces."

Matching Rate of Campus Employment Expo Exceeds 40%

Tamkang University and the New Taipei City Labor Bureau held the "2021 New Taipei City Campus Employment Expo" at 10 am on March 17 at the Student Activity Center and Poster Street. New Taipei City Mayor You-Yi Hou, President Dr. Huan-Chao Keh, Vice President of Administrative Affairs Dr. Shi-Feng Chuang, Vice President of International Affairs Dr. Kao-Cheng Wang, Chairman of the Alumni Association of the Republic of China Jian-Xiang Lin, and others attended the opening ceremony.

In an advertising public relations company, teamwork presents great work and the best way to provide proposals. "I started as an intern in Ogilvy. Empathy is the interaction between the supervisor and the partners." In the workplace, Abby Hsieh is good at interpersonal communications. The College of Liberal Arts held an international scholar’s speech at the Ching-Sheng International Conference Hall from 1 to 3 PM on March 18th, inviting the ViewSonic Chairman James Chu with the topics of "Working hard, Hardworking, and Using the Right Methods: Discuss the Importance of Creative Ideas.” Business performance has experienced great storms and he relied on creative ideas and reverse thinking to seize opportunities and turn crises into turning points.

Tamkang Scout Donated Publications. Hoping to Build a Professional Reading Room

The Tamkang University Scout Group held the "2021 Five Tiger Hill Scout Academic Forum" at the Hsu Shou-Chlien International Conference Center on March 6th. It was hosted by the Taiwan Scout Educational Association, in collaboration with Rover Scout. A total of 82 people from the Senior Girl Scouts and Five Tiger Hill Scouts participated in the event. There were also scouts from various regions in North, Central, and South. This forum provides a platform for academic exchanges and invites scout professionals to publish research articles to enhance the academic atmosphere of domestic scouting.
