French Department Celebrates its 60th Anniversary, Teachers, Students & Alumni Sing together

The 60th anniversary celebration of the French Department of our university was held on May 27th at the Nobel Hall of Grand Victoria Hotel. A total of 106 teachers, students, and alumni participated in the event. During the gathering, there was a grand chorus performance by the teachers, students, and alumni. They sang a variety of songs, including French songs as well as Chinese songs with modified lyrics such as "Four Years in Tamkang" and "The Story of Tamkang," creating a joyful and harmonious atmosphere.

Lawrence Lin Invites Tain-Jy Chen, Chin-Tsai Chen & Hou-Ming Chen to Discuss Corporate Sustainability

The President of the Tamkang University Alumni Association Headquarters, Dr. Lawrence Lin, and the President of the Alumni Reading Club, Rui-Feng Chang, held a "Sustainable Innovation and Social Responsibility" forum on May 27th at the Chang Yeo Lan Hall of the Hsu-Shou-Chlien International Conference Center. Alumni from various regions gathered at the forum. In the evening, hosted by Dr. Lin, guests were invited to a Banquet at the Fullon Hotel Tamsui, Fisherman's Wharf.

LMU President Visits TKU to Discuss Academic Exchanges

The President of Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Bernd Huber, and the Vice President for Research, Prof. Dr. Hans van Ess, visited our university on May 31st. They were accompanied by Ms. Chin-Ying Weng, Senior First Secretary, and Mr. Yi-Da Chen, Second Secretary of the Department of International and Cross-Strait Education, Ministry of Education. The purpose of their visit was to explore opportunities for research collaboration to promote student exchanges. The delegation was received by Dr. Chien-Mu Yeh, Dean of the Office of International Affairs, Ms. Chia-Hui Yen, Secretary of the Office, and Ms. Acid Chu, Chief of the International and Cross-Strait Exchange Section of the Office. A visitation and exchange were arranged for their visit.

TKU Leaps, Ranking Globally between 201 - 300 in the THE Impact Rankings 2023

On June 1st, the Times Higher Education (THE), a publication from the United Kingdom, released the "Impact Rankings 2023". A total of 1,591 universities participated in the rankings. Tamkang University improved significantly from the previous year, moving up from the 301-400 range to the 201-300 range in the global rankings. In terms of domestic rankings, we climbed from the 10th position to the 6th position.
