An Insight into French Wine Culture

Each year, French Department students and staff look forward to the annual Le Beaujolais Nouveau celebration. Attended by around 60 students and staff, the event allows all those involved to sample newly-produced Le Beaujolais Nouveau – a French wine enjoyed around the world.

The King of knowledge – Chen Yong-Hsin

The results of the 3rd Annual European Trivia Contest were recently released. First place went to Chen Yong-Hsin; second place was claimed by the team “Black Awakening”, made up of Yang Chi-Wei and Chang Chi-Yi; while third place was a draw between Li Hsiang-Yu and the team “EU Prodigies”. An Inspiring Forum on CCI

On November 22 and 24, TKU held the 2012 International Forum on Culture and Creative Industries. The event was organized jointly by the TKU Innovative Center for Cultural and Creative Industries, the Department of Information and Communication, and the Department of Mass Communication.

A Beacon of Light for Collaboration with Business

Recently, the Economic Development Department, a body in the New Taipei City Government, established a “Consultancy Team for Small Medium Enterprises in New Taipei City”. The team is comprised of people from nine private companies and 15 universities; bringing together 335 experts and scholars in a wide variety of fields. The consultancy team will draw on the substantial resources and know-how of its members to provide assistance and advice to small and medium business in New Taipei City.

The Cham Pion Incubation Center – Steering Companies toward Success

The TKU Cham Pion Incubation Center is a campus-based solutions center that provides consultancy and professional advice to help local enterprises achieve their goals. Two of their clients were recently recognized in the 2012 Female Entrepreneur Awards. The two companies are Advanced Communication Technology Solutions (ACTS) and 2Love Wedding Services.

On November 17th, Tamkang University’s Tamsui Campus was home to two major conferences: the 48th Annual Meeting of the Chinese Society for Quality and the 2012 Symposium on International Quality Management.

Tamkang University recently won a major national award known as the Environmental Award for Taiwanese Enterprises. To further commend and reward the recipients of this year’s award, the members responsible for each enterprise’s environmental policy gained a private audience with the Vice President of Taiwan (ROC), Mr. Wu Den-Yi.
