The Department of Russian Language Promotes Academic-Industry Program

【Reported by Ya-xuan Ji, Tamkang Times】The Department of Russian Language is promoting an academic-industry cooperation that will offer three different types of internships: Overseas Summer Intern Program, Overseas Internship Program and Out of University Internship Program. Dean of the Russian Language Department, Shwu-yann Su, expressed, “An academic industry program mutually benefits both the university and the participating enterprises. It lets the students have direct contact with their career field while gaining valuable experience. It also provides the enterprises with well molded future employees.”

The International Journal of Management Sciences Conference Takes Place

There were about 150 people in attendance with 13 educators invited to give lectures from India, Indonesia, Thailand, America and Czech Republic.

【Reported by Shi-qing Huang, Tamkang Times】The Office of Quality Assurance and Audit held the 2nd Annual “Department Development Award” review conference on May 22nd. In attendance was President Flora Chia-I Chang, the three Vice Presidents, Dean of Lanyang Campus, Jyh-horng Lin, officials from outside of the university, and Minister of the Ministry of Education, Jong-Tsun Huang. The honored guest came together to select 8 Departments to be presented with awards recognizing their achievements. President Chang expressed, “All of the different departments are the heart of Tamkang University. Participating in this type of competition gives them the chance to blend and network together which will lead to Tamkang becoming a well refined university known for the highest caliber of education in every part.”
