【Zhuo Qi, Tamsui Campus Report】Tickets can be casts for the 21st Student Association Vice President Election and the 35th Student Association President Election from Oct. 13 to 15 starting from 11am until 7pm. This upcoming vote has already broken three previous records in terms of the number of candidates and anticipated voter-turnout. There are 18 candidates from 8 different colleges. For the sake of organization, they have been divided into two groups.

TKU Alumni Shares his Success

【Xin-yu Wang, Tamsui Campus Report】On Aug. 31 Alumni of the Department of Information and Communication, Ju Chun Ko, published “Use Courage to Shoot the Moon - What the Greatest University in the World has Taught Me.” The book refers to Singularity University, an academic institution put together by Google in cooperation with NASA. The University only accepts 2 percent of its applicants and Ju Chun Ko is the first Taiwanese person to be admitted.

【Xin-yu Wang, Tamsui Campus Report】In recent days outside of the Department of Architecture Building, many people have been asking questions about the two new planes. It turns out that 10 students of the Department of Architecture put it together in cooperation with Zhong Shan’s Institute of Science and Technology Aeronautical Systems Research Division. They also plan to create an F-100, a Shining ROC Cheihshou PL-1B, Assembly Spray Paint, and two large-scale model planes flying toward the sky in heroic fashion.

TKU Students Return With Professional Experience

【Yi-ding Li, Tamsui Campus Report】Senior students of the Department of Russian, Shun-xia Yang and Qi-han Huang, were selected for selected for an internship at Gigabyte as part of their junior year overseas study program. They stayed in Russia for 50 days during the summer, helping with product distribution, product management, store renovations and professional documentation.

【Yu-xiang Sun, Tamsui Campus Report】20 students from 14 academic institutions in Okinawa came to the Carrie Chang Fine Arts Center on Oct. 1. These students were carefully selected out of a group of 96 students from 36 schools as a part of the “Okinawa Advanced Level Junior and High School Cultural Alliance.” The special guests arrived to the center specifically to participate in TKU’s calligraphy study event. Director of the Carrie Chang Fine Arts Center, Ben-hang Chang, exhibited the e-calligraphy program and also invited calligraphy artists to hold instructional courses and display many fine pieces.

【Ya-han Cao, Tamsui Campus Report】On Sept 30th, the Office of Academic Affairs calculated that 97.10 percent of the students that applied for entry at Tamkang University (Daytime Courses) are now members of TKU. In addition, 100% of the students that applied to be a part of the Departments of International Business Management and German language enrolled in classes.
