TKU Department of Civil Engineering PhD candidate Chen Hong-ming, who previously earned first place in the Z Joint Study Program, recently won another prize: the 2011 Lite-On Award Best Practical Application Award. He received NT$30,000 for his efforts.
His entry was a flexible circuit board called ‘Triangular Matrix’. The board comes equipped with a fan and anti-pressure mechanism as well as a LED light that can be used to illuminate plants and other objects.
