Five students will go to pursue advanced studies in Tamkang University sister universities in nation without Japan in summer vacation. They will go to California State University at Sacramento, and at Stanislous, West Florida University, Charles University of Czech Republic and Kyungnam University and Kyonggi University of South Korea.
Lin Chung-yuan, sophomore of Department of English, will go to California State University (CSU) at Sacramento and Liu Pei-wen, also a sophomore of Department of English, will go to CSU at Stanislous. Lai Shu-chuan, student of Graduate Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, and Fan Yu-chia, sophomore of Department of English, will study at West Florida University while Tseng Tzu-hui, student of Graduate Institute of European Studies, going to Charles University of Czech Republic. Nevertheless, no candidates will go to Kyungnam University and Kyonggi University of South Korea.
Lin, an overseas Chinese student from India, attended English schools from the elementary school to senior high school. He was very happy that he was qualified by his first wish to study at CSU at Sacramento. Specially, he thanked his teacher Tu Der-lun for his advices on school selection and data preparations. Liu Pei-wen, transferring from Kuangwu College of Technology to Tamkang University, went to study at various nations during summer vacation without the United States. She was happy that she has a chance to get acquaintance with the living style of American people.
