TAIWAN-FRANCE TECHNOLOGICAL COOPERATION SEMINAR TO FORMALLY KICK OFF TOMORROW

The Fourth Taiwan-French Bilateral Technological Seminar sponsored by Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering will formally kick off on Tamsui campus on March 18 for a two-day discussion.

A nine-member French delegation will attend the seminar on behalf of INRIA to discuss subjects related to network technology with host country delegation.

The seminar, jointly sponsored by National Science Council and INRIA of France, has been alternatively held in France and Taiwan annually. Shih, Timothy Kuo-chen, Chair of Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, strived for hosting the seminar last year. He hopes that through the upcoming seminar we will further promote technological and academic exchanges, integrate the research manpower and materials so as to further create the technological research effect.

Associate Prof. Wang Ying-hong is the only professor among private universities and colleges in Taiwan to lecture on “Link Grammar Applying to Web Technology for e-Learning” on behalf of NSC.

The seminar will be held on Tamsui campus from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. There will be 21 rounds of special reports and three rounds of cooperation subjects during the two-day discussion. The main theme includes digital museum, the distance learning, the multimedia technology, 3 D moving picture and the analysis of the language of Web.
