SEMINAR ON TEACHING AND ADMINISTRATION INNOVATION TO BE HELD ON OCT. 19

The Seminar on Teaching and Administration Innovation will be held at Chueh-Sheng International Conference Hall, Tamsui Campus, TKU, on Oct. 19 with the aim of mapping out the TKU’s direction toward the future.

TKU’s President Dr. Chang Horng-jinh will preside over the seminar and her Founder Dr. Clement C. P. Chang will also be present at the meeting in his capacity of supervisor.

The main theme of the seminar will be on “ how will TKU navigate towards the future in the multi-objective era?” Topics to be discussed will center on how TKU sets her future position when facing the merger with universities proposed by the Ministry of Education, which has become an academic trend and the variety of changes of higher education as well as the analysis of the situation of the four TKU campuses, according to Tsai Yi-chia who is in charge of organizing the seminar.

The seminar will be divided into two parts: The participants will listen to special reports presented by Chen Po-chang, Director of the Center for the Study of Higher Education; Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Feng Chao-kang, Hsu Ting-chi, Dean of the College of Technocracy; and Tseng Chen-yuan, Director of the Office of Lanyang Campus, respectively, in the morning.

Panel discussions will be held in the afternoon session. Some 200 participants, including Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Feng Chao-kang, Directors and Chiefs of the Administrative Units, Deans of the Colleges, Chairpersons of Departments and representatives of the faculty, will participate in the seminar.
