【Reported by Bo-xian Lu, Tamkang Times】Tamkang University students are incredible! Third-year student from the Department of Global Politics and Economics, Ding-yu Chen, has been approved to participate in the overseas program, “Students in Humanities and Social Sciences to Study Abroad.” Ding-yu Chen is the only student from a junior college to be selected for this competitive program that will be taking place in Toronto, Canada. He stated, “I have always been very interested in international affairs and I happened to be searching online for related news when I found this study abroad program. I decided to try it out because I really wanted more overseas experience. I believe my experience with the study abroad program in Australia has given me the qualifications for this opportunity. I am grateful for everyone’s support and encouragement.”
Dean of the Department of Global Political Economics, Cheng-Hao Pao, stated, “This is really an amazing achievement for a student of a private university to be entered into a program of with such elite academic competition. I hope that this will be an example to for other students in the university to be more actively involved as they seek out opportunities for development.”
