80 faculty and students simulate the South China Sea Arbitration

【Tamkang Times】TKU graduate institute of International Affairs and Strategic Studies, National Defense University, and Chinese War Games Association participated in the 5th Syncretized Military and Civil Arts war Games Simulation held at Chin-sheng International Conference Hall. Along with students from Nanhua University, there were over 80 teachers and students attended in the activity, aiming at the South China Sea Arbitration.

English Department Alumnus Wins 1st Place at National Gettysburg Address Reciting Contest

【Reporter Tsai Jin-Yu, Tamkang Campus】Congratulations to Chen, Yan-Ling, an English Department alumnus, for winning the National Gettysburg Address Reciting Contest hosted by The Lincoln Society. Yan-Ling came through in the contest by beating five competitors from other institutions and won a ten-thousand-dollar prize. Before the national contest, Yan-Ling had to beat 26 other competitors from the school in order to represent Tamkang University. When asked about the contest, she said, “Besides the prize, I also received Papers of Abraham Lincoln. This was a happy and unforgettable experience”.

QS University Rankings: Asia 2016 Tamkang University on the List for the Third Time Top 100 for Four Indicators

【Reporter Tsai Jin-Yu, Tamkang Campus】2016 QS University Rankings in Asia was recently released by the UK-based higher education survey, QS. Tamkang University ranked as one of the of 251 to 300 Asian universities, in the same range as National Taipei University, National Changhua University of Education, Tunghai University, and others. This is the third time for Tamkang University to be listed after 2012 and 2013.
