In the 2023 Webometrics Rankings of World Universities, TKU Remains the Top Non-medical Private University

Webometrics Rankings of World Universities (WRWU) released its latest rankings (Jan. 2023 version). TKU is ranked 1,054th in the world, 273rd in Asia, 13th in Taiwan, and 4th among domestic private universities, after China Medical University, Kaohsiung Medical University, Taipei Medical University. Our university is the top-ranked non-medical private university.

TKU Golden Eagle Club Welcomes New Members, Chairperson Chang Personally Presents Badges

Tamkang University Golden Eagle Club, composed of alumni who have won the Tamkang Golden Eagle Award, held a new member welcome and membership meeting at Sheraton Hotel in Taipei on February 9th. President Huan-Chao Keh, Chairperson Flora Chia-I Chang, President Chen-Rong Chian of Golden Eagle Club and past Golden-Eagle-awarded alumni welcomed new members to the Club. President Chian stated that the elite alumni have successful careers and a caring spirit always caring about the alma mater and its students, donating substantial scholarships to encourage the development of departments and motivate students to learn.

GVM & Cheers: Corporate Favorite, TKU Returned to the Top of Both Private Rankings

TKU recently ranked No. 1 in the private university category of the “2023 Corporate Favorite College Graduate Rankings” published by both Global View Monthly (GVM) and Cheers magazines. This is a return to the top of both rankings since 2020, which has greatly inspired our faculty, staff, students and alumni.

LIFE IN COLOR: Presenting life Through Art

Carrie Chang Fine Arts Center held the opening ceremony of “LIFE IN COLOR” on February 17. The exhibition is curated by an artist, Pi-Ling Hsu. 3 artists, Stephen Peng, Pi-Ling Hsu, and Yih-Cheng Chiang, incorporated their unique and rich life experiences into their art, exhibiting over 40 pieces of art works including watercolor, pastel, oil painting, acrylic, canvas, and various mixed media. Chairperson of TKU, Dr. Flora Chia-I Chang, Chairperson of Taiwan Art Creation Culture Foundation, Yung-Ping Lee, President of Linkou Kiwanis Club, Dr. Tien-Rein Lee, Vice Chairperson of Jet-Go Consulting Group, Mei-Hui Chang, and over 60 people attended the ceremony.

Flexible Education System Paves a Broader Path

Students under the 108 Curriculum have started to enroll in universities. In addition to warmly welcoming these new students, our school has also carried out a series of curriculum innovations and educational system design reforms, providing students with more opportunities for autonomous and cross-disciplinary learning. This is to ensure that our future graduates can meet the talent cultivation needs of the post-pandemic new normal.

Center for Holistic Education: International Mobile Learning Promote

Tamkang University has always adhered to the Triple Objectives of Education of globalization, Information-oriented Education, and Future-oriented Education. In order to allow students to see more diverse things through campus resources during their studies, Tamkang has highly valued "globalization" since its establishment and was the first university in Taiwan to promote junior study abroad. Dr. Chien-Mu Yeh, Dean of International Affairs, said that "international mobile learning is an excellent opportunity to break away from one's comfort zone, cultivate language abilities, and develop independent capabilities. The people, things, and environment encountered during the process can all become nutrients for students' growth."

TKU Goodwill Ambassador Celebrating the 25th Anniversary with Achievements Exhibition

TKU Goodwill Ambassador held its 25th anniversary celebration and exhibition of achievements at the Black Swan Exhibition Room from February 20th to 24th. The opening ceremony was held on the 20th. President Huan-Chao Keh, Academic Vice President Hui-Huang Hsu, Dean of Student Affairs Shi-Hjong Wu, and many other first and second-level supervisors attended the event.
