According to the results of the 2025 World University Rankings for International Students published on the Study Abroad Aide (SAA) website in December 2024, Tamkang University ranked 1,208th globally, 14th among public and private universities in Taiwan, and 3rd among private universities in Taiwan. It follows China Medical University and Taipei Medical University, ranking as the top non-medical private university.

Tamkang University collaborates with the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC) to establish the latest Nano Microscopy Beamline and Scanning Transmission X-ray Microscopy Station. The Department of Physics at Tamkang University, in collaboration with the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC), has developed the "TPS 27A1" Nano Microscopy Beamline and Scanning Transmission X-ray Microscopy Station. The inauguration ceremony for the TPS 27A1 beamline was held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 20, at the NSRRC. The event featured speeches by Tamkang University Chairperson Flora Chia-I Chang, Vice President for Academic Affairs Hui-Huang Hsu, NSRRC Director Chia-Hung Hsu, and Deputy Director Der-Hsin Wei. This state-of-the-art scientific facility, serving as a flagship beamline, is expected to advance next-generation cutting-edge research in green energy materials in Taiwan.

The ceremony was attended by the Vice President for International Affairs, Professor Hsiao-Chuan Chen, deans and department chairs of the award recipients’ respective colleges, and other relevant officials.

The Office of Information Services at Tamkang University has made significant advancements in the field of digital learning, leading the "Alliance for Empowering Smart Future – Sustainable and Cultivated Digital Learning" to remarkable achievements. From December 13 to 14, the university participated in the "2024 ELOE e-Learning International Conference & Open Education Forum," organized by the National Taichung University of Science and Technology under the guidance of the Ministry of Education (MOE). Tamkang submitted 10 papers and 7 teaching cases, winning 6 major awards: the "Popular Course Award," "Best Paper Award," "Best Implementation Team Award," "Outstanding Leadership Award," "SIG Annual Teaching Case Award," and "Outstanding Administration Award."

On December 16, a group of 30 students and faculty from Kumamoto Prefectural Kamoto High School, Japan, and on December 17, 14 faculty and students from the 2024 Indonesian Winter Camp visited Tamkang University. Hosted by the Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs, the visits included campus tours, course experiences, and discussion sessions to enhance their understanding and appreciation of the university, encouraging cross-national enrollment.

The Women Faculty and Staff Association is dedicated to promoting an eco-friendly lifestyle centered on cherishing and reusing items. From December 16 to 20, the association hosted the "Second-Hand Clothing Sale – My Old Love, Your New Treasure" event at the Black Swan Exhibition Hall. Faculty members and alumni donated clothing and luxury items, raising a record-breaking NT$311,023 from the charity sale, with proceeds designated for student scholarships at Tamkang University.

Tamkang University Scout Group celebrated its 50th anniversary on December 21, with over 500 attendees joining the grand event.

On December 21 at 2 p.m., the Tamkang University Scout Group hosted the "50th Anniversary Celebration of Tamkang University Scout Group and the 25th Anniversary Celebration of the Kang Yi Scout Foundation" at the Student Activity Center. The event saw over 500 participants, including Dean of International Affairs Chien-Mu Yeh, Director of the Center for General Education and Core Curriculum Shun-Jie Ji, former Secretary-General Ay-Hwa Andy Liou, Professor Shiaw-Shyan Luo from the Department of Transportation Management, former President of the Scouts of China Shou-Po Chao, Chairman of the Taipei City Scout Association Shi-Chin Wang, Deputy Chairman of the Scout Association of Japan Tokyo Federation Irie Ikuto, Meiji University Scout Group Leader Hirohiko Tanaka, and Guo-Sheng Liang from the Hong Kong Scout Association, along with scout members and their families. Double Championship at Electrical and Computer Engineering Week: Integrating NVIDIA Technology in Unmanned Stores
The team behind the "Logistics Workstation Based on Digital Twins," winner of both major competitions during Electrical and Computer Engineering Week, received their award from Department Chair Peter Liu.

The annual Electrical and Computer Engineering Week’s biggest winner, "Logistics Workstation Based on Digital Twins," was developed by fourth-year students Bo-Yun Yu, Mu-Hua Huang, and Teron Tristan Benjamin. The project won dual championships in the "Innovation and Creativity Competition" and the "Unmanned Delivery Creativity Competition." The team shared their achievements with alumni, faculty, and students at the 4th "Electronics and Electrical Engineering Alumni Forum" of the year. The forum was held on December 14 at 3:00 PM in the D508 Alumni Hall of the Taipei Campus, with 30 alumni and students in attendance.

Presided over by President Huan-Chao Keh, the meeting was attended by 3 vice presidents, first-level supervisors, academic department heads, and student representatives, with live streaming to the Taipei campus.

At the PeoPo Citizen Journalism Awards ceremony, the Tamkang TV production "The Book Restorer: Picking Up the Past" (《拾起流年的書籍修復師》), created by Mass Communication Department students Sung-Ya Yen (from right), Yu-Wei Lin, and Ming-Chih Chien, won the Excellence Award, presented by National Chengchi University Professor Hui-Wen Liu.

The 2024 PeoPo Citizen Journalism Awards Ceremony, organized by the Public Television Service and the Foundation for Excellent Journalism Award, was held on December 21 at the International Conference Hall of National Chengchi University's College of Social Sciences. 7 senior students from Tamkang University’s Mass Communication Department, representing the Tamkang TV internship media, won 3 Excellence Awards in the Student Short Report category. The winning entries were "The Book Restorer: Picking Up the Past" (《拾起流年的書籍修復師》) by Yu-Wei Lin, Ming-Chih Chien, and Sung-Ya Yen; "Weaving the Name of Kavalan" (《編織出噶瑪蘭的名字》) by Yi-Ju Su and Yi-Jen Chiu; and "Endless Purity" (《永無止淨》) by Meng-Chu Hsu and Pin-Yu Chen. Professor Hui-Wen Liu presented the awards from NCCU’s Department of Journalism.

On December 25, 2024, the Office of Information Services held the "2024 Digital Transformation and Net-Zero Transformation Hackathon Award Ceremony" in Room I501 of the Chueh Sheng Memorial Building. The project "OCR Scholarship Application," created by Computer Science and Information Engineering seniors Yu-Cheng Chang and Yen-Chen Lin and Electrical and Computer Engineering freshman Cheng-Cheng Chuang, won the Extraordinary Excellence Award. The project "Equipment Borrowing and Return System" by Graduate Institute of Educational Technology students Ming-Ming Fan, Hsin-Yu Tseng, and Kai-Lun Lin received the Excellence Award. 2 Honorable Mention Awards were given to "Three-Level Review System for Image Recognition" and "Rental Safety System." Additionally, 3 projects from the Graduate Institute of Educational Technology were awarded the "Creative Idea Award."
