Tamkang University Launches Smart Cloud Campus 3.0, Pioneering a New Blueprint of AI+SDGs=∞
On March 15, Tamkang University officially launched its Smart Cloud Campus 3.0.

Under the vision of “AI+SDGs=∞” for university development, Tamkang continues to push the boundaries of digitalization in higher education, empowering students with broader and more effective learning experiences. Since 2020, the university has partnered with Microsoft Taiwan to create the nation’s first fully cloud-based smart campus. In 2022, we further collaborated with Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) to complete the deployment of cloud switches, advancing to the 5G-enabled Smart Cloud Campus 2.0. On March 15, during the Spring Feast event, President Huan-Chao Keh announced to alumni that Tamkang University will join hands with FET to launch the “Y2025 Smart Cloud Campus 3.0.” This new initiative showcases the university's achievements in digital and net-zero transformation. It aims to deepen the application of AI technologies, injecting fresh momentum into developing a sustainable campus. Tamkang continues to lead in digital transformation and sustainable development in higher education and contributes actively to advancing smart, sustainable education in Taiwan.

Tamkang in Action: Leading High School Students to "Chase the Light" Together
At the "Chasing the Light – 2025 Tamkang University Academic Expo," Vice President for Academic Affairs Prof. Hui-Huang Hsu introduced the university’s distinctive features to the participants.

On the afternoon of March 8, the Office of Academic Affairs held the “Chasing the Light – 2025 Tamkang University Academic Expo” at the Tamsui Campus. All 36 departments from the university’s 8 colleges showcased their distinctive programs, development highlights, and future career prospects. The event aimed to help high school students, teachers, and parents understand Tamkang’s academic offerings, explore infinite possibilities for learning and future development, and increase students’ interest in enrolling at Tamkang. The event attracted over 1,200 participants.

Spring Feast Unites Alumni as President Keh Unveils TKU's Transition to Smart Cloud Campus 3.0
At the Spring Feast, President Huan-Chao Keh announced that Tamkang University is officially entering the Smart Cloud Campus 3.0 era this year.

The Tamkang University Alumni Association Headquarters of Departments, in collaboration with the Office of Alumni Services and Resource Development, held the 2025 Spring Feast themed “75 Glorious Years: Spring in Tamkang” (「75芳華，春in映淡江」) on March 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Shou-Chlien International Conference Center. Nearly 400 alumni returned to their alma mater to joyfully participate in the celebration. During his speech, President Huan-Chao Keh announced that Tamkang University is officially entering the Smart Cloud Campus 3.0 era. Chih-Jen Su, President of the Tamkang University Alumni Association Headquarters of Departments, praised the alumni's strong sense of unity, saying, “Even though it’s pouring rain today, it can’t extinguish the love everyone has for our alma mater.”

In the “2025 Most Favored University by Enterprises” survey conducted by 1111 Job Bank in collaboration with TUN University Network, Tamkang University’s Information Technology and Engineering groups ranked 5th nationwide in the “Workplace Performance” category, securing the top spot among private universities.

Tamkang University, in collaboration with the New Taipei City Government, hosted the “2025 Tamkang University Campus Job Fair,” which kicked off at 10 a.m. on March 12 at the Student Activity Center and Poster Street. President Prof. Huan-Chao Keh, Vice President for Academic Affairs Prof. Hui-Huang Hsu, Vice President for Administrative Affairs Prof. Chun-Hung Lin, Commissioner of the New Taipei City Labor Affairs Department Jui-Chia Chen, Director of the New Taipei City Employment Services Office Chien-Neng Yeh, Deputy Director Cheng-Yuan Chen, along with other first- and second-level university administrators, attended the event. 95 companies participated in the fair, offering more than 4,400 job openings. According to statistics from the New Taipei City Employment Services Office, 2,069 resumes were submitted, with 1,057 intended hires, resulting in a matching rate of 51.1%.

Chia-Sheng Wu Wins Bronze at World Sports Photography Awards for “Lim Si-Hyeon and the Bug”
Chia-Sheng Wu, an alumnus of the Department of Mass Communication and a reporter for Central News Agency, won the bronze medal at the World Sports Photography Awards with his archery photo titled "Lim Si-Hyeon and the Bug," taken during last year’s Paris Olympics.

During the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Chia-Sheng Wu, an alumnus of Tamkang University's Department of Mass Communication and a photojournalist for Central News Agency (CNA), captured a moment where South Korean archer Lim Si-Hyeon released an arrow during a competition. At that exact instant, a small bug appeared in the frame alongside the arrow. This photo, titled “Lim Si-Hyeon and the Bug,” earned Wu the bronze medal in the “Other” category at the 2025 World Sports Photography Awards. Wu expressed gratitude to the international judges for their recognition, which allowed the world to see how Taiwanese photojournalists capture the fleeting moments of athletes in action.

Wind Ensemble Club Dominates, Winning Top Honors at National Student Music Competition 10 Years in a Row
The Wind Ensemble Club won top honors for the 10th time in the "Wind Ensemble – College Group B" category and received an excellence award in the "Percussion Ensemble – College Group B" category.

Tamkang University’s student music clubs, the Wind Ensemble and the String Ensemble participated in the Northern Regional Finals of the 2024 Academic Year National Student Music Competition and earned one top honor and two excellence awards. The Wind Ensemble delivered an outstanding performance, winning the top honor in the "Wind Ensemble – College Group B" category for the 10th time and receiving an excellence award in the "Percussion Ensemble – College Group B" category. The String Ensemble also received an excellence award in the "String Ensemble – College Group B" category.

Crowds Flock to TKU Booth at University Expo as Faculty and Students Assist with Inquiries
Tamkang University's Admissions Strategy Center participated in the University Expo on March 1–2, where various departments actively promoted enrollment, attracting many students to stop by and ask questions.

The Admissions Strategy Center participated in the “2025 University and Technical College Multi-Admission Expo” held at the NTU Sports Center on March 1–2. Student representatives from various colleges distributed flyers and provided preliminary introductions to their departments, while professors from each department answered individual questions from high school students and parents regarding differences between departments, unique features, and future development prospects. This helped enhance their understanding of Tamkang University and increased their willingness to choose TKU for further studies.

VP Hui-Huang Hsu Leads Delegation to Vietnam to Strengthen International Sports Exchange
The TKU delegation visited the College of Physical Education at the University of Da Nang in Vietnam for an exchange visit, and participants from both sides gathered for a group photo.

The Office of Physical Education implemented the "School Sports Exchanges Implementation Plan under the Promotion of the New Southbound Policy by Sports Administration, Ministry of Education." From February 11 to 15, Vice President for Academic Affairs Prof. Hui-Huang Hsu led a 17-member delegation—including Dean of the College of Science Prof. Tzenge-Lien Shih, Dean of Physical Education Prof. I-Cheng Chen, and faculty members from the Office of Physical Education—to the College of Physical Education at the University of Danang, Vietnam, for a sports and teaching exchange visit. The delegation also toured the Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports and its local sports venues and facilities to learn from their successful practices.

The 201st Administrative Meeting of Tamkang University was held on March 7 at the meeting room of Porite Taiwan, presided over by President Huan-Chao Keh, with the participation of the 3 vice presidents and first-level administrators. The day's agenda included visits to alumni-owned companies Sinbon Electronics and Porite Taiwan.

iST Talent Cultivation Scholarships: 4 Students in Physics and Advanced Materials Science Selected

On the afternoon of March 10 at 2 p.m., Department of Physics Chair Prof. Cheng-Hao Chuang led Tamkang University physics students on a visit to the First Plant of IntegratedService Technology (iST) in the Hsinchu Science Park, founded by alumnus Wei-Been Yu. The group visited the company’s Management Division and attended the 2nd iST Elite Scholarship award ceremony. This year, scholarship recipients include Cheng-En Lee, a first-year master's student in Physics; Chieh-Kai Hsu and Yu-Ju Lin, both seniors in the Bachelor's Program in Advanced Materials Science; and Yu-Pei Lee, a third-year student in the same program. Among them, Cheng-En Lee and Yu-Ju Lin were selected for the second time and will join iST after graduation. Together, the 4 students will receive NT$1.02 million in scholarships. Chair Chuang expressed his gratitude to iST for providing students with industry learning opportunities.

Pots and Volleyballs as Props: “Lin Bei Tam Li” Battle Showcases Dance Skills and Creativity
In the Top 8 Props Round, contestants creatively incorporated pots into their dance routines, capturing the audience’s attention.

The Hot Dance Club hosted the “Lin Bei Tam Li X Dance Battle” (「林盃淡麗X跳舞Battle」) competition at 6 p.m. on March 7 on the first floor of the Shao-Mo Memorial Gymnasium, drawing more than a hundred participants. Alumni Shuyang, Liangchi, and Xiaoji served as judges. Cheers and screams erupted with the rhythm of the music, creating an electric atmosphere.
