The opening ceremony of the “2026 International Student Eco-Culture Expo” was held at 12:00 PM on March 25, with staff from the Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs and participating students posing for a commemorative group photo.

The “2026 International Student Eco-Culture Expo,” held on Poster Street from March 25 to 26, opened at 12:00 PM on March 25. A lion dance troupe composed of Malaysian students kicked off the event with a lively drum performance, setting an energetic tone for the occasion. The expo brought together eight international student and local clubs, featuring cultural displays, interactive games, and sustainability-themed activities. Through a relaxed and engaging atmosphere, faculty and students were able to explore diverse cultural characteristics from around the world while gaining awareness of global sustainability issues.

Tamkang University Signs MOU with Securities and Futures Institute to Jointly Cultivate Green Finance Talent

In response to the Financial Supervisory Commission’s initiatives— “Green Finance Action Plan 3.0” and the “Five Strategies for Promoting FinTech Development”—the financial industry is advancing along dual tracks of sustainability and digital transformation. To meet the growing demand for interdisciplinary financial talent, Tamkang University has signed a “Memorandum of Understanding on Certification Examinations and Financial Knowledge Promotion” with the Securities and Futures Institute (SFI). The partnership focuses on financial certification exams, the establishment of on-campus testing centers, and the promotion of sustainable finance literacy through in-depth collaboration. The signing ceremony was held on the morning of March 24 at the Hsu Shou-Chlien International Conference Center, with President Huan-Chao Keh and Chairperson Chen-Shan Chang signing on behalf of both parties. The event was witnessed by university administrators and representatives from the institute.

Tamkang–Keio Student Leadership Forum Fosters Global Collaboration Skills
At the Keio–Tamkang Student Leadership Forum, students from both universities engaged in group discussions and exchanged ideas.

The Department of Chemistry recently hosted the “Keio University–Tamkang University Student Leadership Forum,” jointly organized by Professor Hsiu-Fu Hsu of Tamkang University and Professor Kazuo Yamashita of the Faculty of Science and Technology at Keio University. A total of 17 faculty members and students from Keio visited Tamkang for the exchange. Through keynote speeches, group discussions, and final presentations, the forum promoted academic and cultural interaction and collaboration between students from both institutions. Since initiating exchanges in 2015, the two universities have conducted 11 mutual visits to date.

Precise Career Mapping: CPAS Workshop Guides International Students to Discover Their Best-Fit Career Paths

To help international students accurately position themselves in a rapidly changing job market, the Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs at Tamkang University held a “CPAS Career Aptitude Assessment Workshop” at 12:10 PM on March 16 in the 10th-floor lobby of the Ching-Sheng Memorial Building. Through CPAS result interpretation sessions and one-on-one career consultations, the workshop guided students to gain deeper insights into their personal traits and to plan their future career paths. A total of 37 international students participated.

Chen-Yen Chang, an alumna of Tamkang University’s Department of Japanese and currently a reporter and anchor at NEXT TV News, recently gained attention in Japanese media after conducting an interview in fluent Japanese with Shohei Ohtani of “Samurai Japan” at a press conference at the Tokyo Dome. Her performance highlighted the strengths of language majors. Department Chair Pei-Ching Tsai remarked, “Now is the perfect time to study Japanese and become a professional talent that AI cannot replace.”

From Specialized Learning to Homestays: U.S. State Department Officials Visit Tamkang to Review Chinese Language Education Results

The Chinese Language Center under Tamkang University’s Office of Continuing Education administers the U.S. Department of State’s NSLI-Y (National Security Language Initiative for Youth) Chinese Language Scholarship Program for high school students. On March 19, the University welcomed officials from the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. Department of State and the American Councils for International Education for an on-site visit. Through class observations, discussions, and cultural activities, the delegation gained insight into the academic and daily life experiences of American high school students studying in Taiwan.

Total Quality Management Seminar Introduces SROI to Demonstrate Tamkang’s Public Value in Sustainability
The 2025 Academic Year Total Quality Management Seminar was held at the Chang Yeo Lan Hall of the Hsu Shou-Chlien International Conference Center at Tamkang University, under the theme “From Continuous Improvement to Public Value: Internalizing Quality and Externalizing Impact in University Governance.”

The Office of Quality Assurance and Audit held the “2025 Academic Year Total Quality Management (TQM) Seminar” at 9:00 AM on March 27 at the Hsu Shou-Chlien International Conference Center. Under the theme “From Continuous Improvement to Public Value: Internalizing Quality and Externalizing Impact in University Governance,” the event was attended by President Huan-Chao Keh, Chairperson Flora Chia-I Chang, three vice presidents, first- and second-level supervisors, and over 300 faculty and staff. During the event, President Keh presented awards for the 14th Quality Control Circle (QCC) Competition: first place to the General Affairs Office team “Always in Service” (「總是在服務圈」), second place to the Information Services Office team “Firefighting Circle” (「救火圈」), and third place to the Finance Office team “Kuai-Kuai Circle” (「會快圈」).

The globally renowned AI event NVIDIA GTC 2026 was recently held in San Jose, California. On March 20 at 2:00 PM, Tamkang University’s College of Artificial Innovative Intelligence, College of Engineering, and Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs jointly hosted the “NVIDIA GTC 2026 Keynote Watch Party” at the Hsu Shou-Chlien International Conference Center, attracting around 400 participants from both on and off campus. Attendees included students from Tamkang and local high schools such as Tamkang Senior High School and Shi-Yu High School, parents, teachers from other institutions, and industry representatives. The audience gathered to watch the keynote by Jensen Huang and follow the latest developments on OpenClaw.

New Taipei’s First Campus Job Fair Delivers Over 3,000 Openings, Achieves Record-High 51.35% Match Rate

To help students transition smoothly into the workforce, Tamkang University, in collaboration with the New Taipei City Government, hosted the “2026 Tamkang University Campus Job Fair 2026” at 10:00 AM on March 18 at the Student Activity Center and Poster Street. As the first campus job fair in New Taipei this year, the event featured 95 participating companies offering more than 3,000 job openings. According to statistics from the New Taipei City Employment Service Office, a total of 1,957 resumes were submitted, with 1,005 candidates tentatively hired, resulting in an initial matching rate of 51.35%.
