The 2nd TKU Cyberspace Page Design Contest Will Begin in May

The 2nd Cyberspace Page Design Contest will begin from April 19 until the same day next month (May 19). During this one-month period, all TKU faculties, staff and students can log on the Internet to elect their preferred Page. For winners, many computer-related prizes are waiting for them. It is estimated that more than one hundred Pages from both administrative and teaching units, be they on the first or second level, will all participate in this contest.

TKU Athletic Teams Won Many Medals in the Inter-collegiate Athletic Games

The 5-day nationwide Inter-collegiate Athletic Games in which 155 universities and colleges participated was concluded on April 2 at I Shou University. TKU’s athletic teams had proudly grossed 5 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals in the mega-event.

Students of TKU Have not Got the Lotto Fever: A Survey Conducted by Office of Student Affairs Declar

According to a survey conducted by The Guidance Section, TKU, on the students’ overall reaction to the lotto phenomenon, there are 45% students who think it harmful to society; nearly 40% of them consider it a gambling act; only 10% regard it as a public welfare act. The survey also reveals that it has very little effect upon student lives here at TKU.

Dr. Ranjit Gupta Gave a Lecture to Faculties and Students in College of International Studies

Last Wednesday (April 10), Dr. Ranjit Gupta, an Indian envoy stationed in Taiwan, was invited by College of International Studies to give a lecture. Earlier on, at 11 AM, Dr. Clement C.P. A report carried in Cheers magazine on April 10 lists TKU to be one of the 7 universities most favored by industries/enterprises in Taiwan. She advanced one more notch than last year, which was the 8th. Also, according to The United Evening News, TKU kept the champion title of the private universities, as she did last year. She even surpassed such national institutions as National Taiwan University of Technology and National Chung Hsing University.
