Students from Department of Japanese Has Staged Successfully a Japanese Play

A Japanese language tragic-comedy (more or less a farce) entitled “I Shall Accompany You to Complete This Journey, No Matter How Far I May Travel” was enacted on the stage of L209, College of Liberal Arts, last Friday (June 8).

More Stringent Rules Governing Taking TKU G.E. Core-Courses Will Take Effect Next Year

Starting from 2003, the maximum number of students allowed to take any of the 2nd tier 5 core- courses in the Division of General Education and Core Curriculum will be limited to 70. For classes that have been filled to capacity, those overflowing students will be re-directed to classes that still have some vacancies. For students who wish to add onto classes that are “full”, an absolute “No!” is the answer to their demand.

Taipei Veterans Hospital Will Use Teaching Material Prepared by TKU Educational Technology Students

A special graduation project prepared by Lai Hwei-chiu, Hsieh Hsien, Chen Wei-hong and Chang Ya-fong (Seniors, Educational Technology) has caught the eye of Taipei Veterans Hospital, and they are planning to publish it as a publicity brochure to be used solely for educating women in pregnancy. If everything goes well, it will be presented non-simultaneously as teaching material on the network.

In the meantime, she has been chosen by World Scouts Headquarters to start from September working in Geneva, Switzerland for one year.

In the Commencement a total of 300 seats have been set aside for attending parents to use. They may feel free to come and sit in the unassigned seats from 8:00 to 8:30 AM. There are also lobbies reserved for them to relax and chat while watching the simulcast Commencement on the TV screens. Lobbies with these TV facilities include: Conference Room (10F), Chueh Sheng Memorial Library; International Conference Room (3F), and Chung Cheng Memorial Conference Room (2F), Ching Sheng Memorial Hall; The Buffalo Hall, Chemical Building; The Main Entrance Lobby, Shao Mo Memorial Natatorium; Hwei-wen Student/Faculty Cafeteria; The Fast Food Gourmet Plaza, Sung Tao Women’s Dormitory.

The TKU Commencement for 2002 will be held today (June 8) at TKU Student Center, Tamsui. A total of 7711 TKU students will henceforth become TKU fellows as of today.
