INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF ASIAN ARTS DISPLAYS IN CARRIE CHANG FINE ARTS CENTER

“International Exhibition of Asian Arts (Taiwanese Artists Section)” is to be displayed in Carrie Chang Fine Arts Center from May 24, 2004 to July 21, 2004. Teachers and students of TKU who missed the 2003 Exhibition of Asian Arts at Hong Kong will have a chance to appreciate twenty-three representative Taiwanese artists’ masterpieces, including works by the well-known hard-core artists, Ku Chong-kuan, and Lee Hsi-chi.

“International Exhibition of Asian Arts” was founded by the artists and art organizations in Taiwan, Japan, and Korea in 1985, and after that, artists from other Asian countries join the show one after another. So far, it has held 18 annual exhibitions. The major members of the exhibition are local art organizations of the Asian countries.

In addition to the twenty-three works exhibited at Hong Kang, CCFAC invites each artist to present another three art pieces. Totally, there are more than 90 works at this exhibition, including many spectacularly huge works and two installments. The masterpieces in this show reveal a multi-cultural diversity in Taiwan’s artist world. The opening ceremony took place at 10: 30 A.M., May 24, 2004. And the show will last until July 21.
