Tamkang University Receives MOE Friendly Campus Award -- Teng-Chiao Lin: I’m Tamkangian
Congratulations! Tamkang University has been awarded the 2024 Friendly Campus Award from the Ministry of Education (MOE) and, along with Kaohsiung Medical University, has been selected as an outstanding school in the category of college and university. At 10 AM, November 19, President Huan-Chao Keh led Vice President for Administrative Affairs Chun-Hung Lin, Secretary General Yu-Pei Ma, Dean of Student Affairs Shih-Jung Wu, Dean of General Affairs Ruey-Shiang Shaw, Director of Military Education and Training Chin-Yen Lai, and several colleagues from the Student Affairs Office to attend the award ceremony held at our Taipei Campus. President Keh received the award on behalf of the university from Teng-Jiao Lin, the Administrative Deputy Minister of Education.

Inaugural University Sustainability Awards: Tamkang University Wins 3 Major Honors, Including Outstanding University
The inaugural "Taiwan University Sustainability Awards," organized by the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE), announced its list of winners on November 10, 2024. Tamkang University won 3 prestigious awards: the "Top 10 Outstanding Universities Award," the "Sustainability Report Gold Award," and the "Sustainability Performance: Environmental Leadership Award." Academic Vice President and Director of the Center for Sustainable Development and Social Innovation (SDSI), Professor Hui-Huang Hsu, along with Resilient Governance Planning Section Chief of the Center, Assoc. Prof. Hsiao-Wen Hung, and Energy Conservation and Space Section Chief of the General Affairs Office, Chin-Tung Huang, attended the award ceremony held at the Grand Hotel on November 20 at 2:00 PM. Vice President Hsu represented our university in accepting the awards, presented by former Minister of Education Wen-Chung Pan.

iCSC&E: A Showcase of AI+SDGs Innovations – Tamkang Officially Opens National Exam Center Computerized Examination Site
Under the guidance of the Ministry of Education, the 8th International Conference on Smart Campus and Exhibition (iCSC&E), hosted by Tamkang University and the Excellent Long-Established University Consortium of Taiwan (ELECT), was held on November 21 at 10:00 AM in the Hsu Shou-Chlien International Conference Center on the Tamsui campus. Over 370 experts, scholars, and students from within and outside the university participated. Themed “Smart Empowerment, Sustainable Innovation, Advancing Toward Smart Sustainable Campuses” (「智慧賦能,永續創新,邁向智慧永續校園」), the event featured 2 keynote speeches and 12 special forums. By leveraging smart technologies, it aimed to drive educational innovation and campus sustainability, envisioning a blueprint for future smart campuses. The conference also included an unveiling ceremony for the Computerized Examination site of the National Examination Center, marking a new milestone in Tamkang University’s smart campus applications.

The "2024 Short-Term Study Program for Western Sydney University (WSU) at Tamkang University," jointly organized by the Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs, the Center for Sustainable Development and Social Innovation, and the College of Engineering, held its opening ceremony on November 25 at 10:30 AM in HC305 of the Hsu Shou-Chlien International Conference Center. Vice President for International Affairs, Prof. Hsiao-Chuan Chen, along with Dean of International Affairs Chien-Mu Yeh, Dean of the College of Engineering Tzung-Hang Lee, Chair of the Department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering Hsiao-Chung Tsai, and Assistant Professor of the Department of Civil Engineering Chieh-Hsun Wu, welcomed Dr. Robert Salama, Academic Advisor at Western Sydney University, and 7 participating students.
Tamkang University Forms Sister School Partnership with Mapúa University in the Philippines
Tamkang University and Mapúa University in the Philippines signed an academic exchange and student exchange agreement, officially establishing a sister school partnership. The signing ceremony took place on November 26 at 10:40 AM in HC405 of the Hsu Shou-Chlien International Conference Center, with President Huan-Chao Keh and Mapúa University President Dodjie S. Maestrecampo representing the two universities.
