STUDENTS FROM WASEDA UNIVERSITY EXPERIENCING TAIWAN CULTURE
“Wow! What a beautiful key chain and bookmark, I want to take them home as souvenirs!”. It is the first time having 11 Japanese students from TKU sister university,Waseda University at Japan, including Igarashi Yu, to learn Chinese in TKU. This summer, they not only experienced Chinese culture, learned calligraphy, ink painting, stamping art, ceramics, flower flattening, but also brought their handmade art works or crafts back to Japan. They said “we’ll come back again!”
8 STUDENT CLUBS SHARING HAPPINESS IN COUNTRY SIDE SERVICES THIS SUMMER
During the summer time, the Chorus group with other 7 students clubs went respectively to Taipei county, Nantou, Tainan, Changhua, Hsinchu, to do community services. Tsai Chen-huei, sophomore of Civil Engineering department and member of Entertainment and Service Club, surprisingly won the favor by all children when they happily put stickers of favor on his face. Likewise, he even received text messages from a little girl, saying “brother Chen-huei, will you come again next year?”
