Li-Chun Li Talks About Quantitative Research and Statistical Analysis

On March 15th, the Center for Teacher Professional Development held a lecture in classroom T505, delivered by the director of the center, Dr. Li-Chun Li, on "Introduction to Quantitative Research and Statistical Analysis." She shared how to use quantitative research to develop appropriate teaching research designs and analyze student performance in learning motivation and learning effectiveness. Over 40 teachers attended the lecture.

Digital SPROUT Lecture hosted by the Office of Information Services: Dr. Chih-Yung Chang Talked about Using ChatGPT for Positive Learning

On March 15th, the Center for Distance Education Development of the Office of Information Services held the Smart Future GO! Digital Learning Deep Cultivation Lecture, inviting Distinguished Professor Chih-Yung Chang from the Department of Computer and Information Engineering and Mr. Kuan-Hao Liao, Cloud Solution Manager from Public Business Group at Microsoft Taiwan, to speak on the topics of " ChatGPT-A Positive Power in Turning Teaching and Learning " and "Microsoft & Open AI - The Advantages and Opportunities of ChatGPT @Tamkang University," respectively. The lecture attracted a total of 500 online and offline participants from inside and outside the university to learn about the hottest topic of today - "ChatGPT."

Wei-Chung Wang, the Godfather of Variety Shows: Facing the Unknown with Indifference towards Fame and Fortune, Turning Interests into Expertise

On March 14th, the Department of held an event in the Ching-Sheng International Conference Hall. Associate Professor Yueh-O Lee invited the media variety show godfather Wei-Chung Wang to give a speech on the topic of "Hey! Where was I?" to share his entrepreneurial experience and finding one's own position. He learned horseback riding at the age of 60, and no one believed it when he said it. He just wants to challenge the unknown.

Registration for the 2023 Future Student Intelligence Competition Has Begun

The 2023 Future Student Intelligence Competition, jointly organized by Tamkang University, Fu Jen Catholic University, and Chung Hua University, aims to stimulate student creativity, encourage teamwork, and integrate AI to produce solutions for enterprise pain points and challenges. Registration is open until April 24th. The top prize is up to NT$ 20,000, and outstanding participants recommended by the judges can receive priority access to Microsoft internship interviews. The Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Tzung-Han Lee, also offers additional rewards. Any team composed of students from our university that participate in the competition and achieve any ranking can receive double rewards. Students are welcome to form teams and participate in the competition.

The Spring Feast Invites Alumni to Homecoming Flower Appreciation and Picnic

On March 18th, the Tamkang University Alumni Association Headquarters of Departments and the Office of Alumni Service and Resources Development jointly organized the 2023 "Spring Feast" on Tamsui Campus. The event included the presentation of awards to 53 outstanding alumni and the recognition of 55 alumni and companies for their donations. Starting at noon, each department set up their own unique features at the University Commons and Poster Street, combining with the event's theme. Alumni were invited to have a picnic on the lawn with sustainable market sharing of delicious food. They could also enjoy exciting performances from student clubs. Faculty, students, and alumni enjoyed a lively and warm campus picnic.

Center for Holistic Education Unveiled, President Keh Expects to Surpass the Lanyang Experience

The Center for Holistic Education established in November of last year held its unveiling ceremony on March 21st in room T1117. The ceremony was jointly unveiled by President Huan-Chao Keh, the Chairperson of the Board, Dr. Flora Chia-Yi Chang, President of Tamkang University Worldwide Alumni Association Chin-Tsai Chen, President of Tamkang University Alumni Association Headquarters of Department Tzu-Hua Chuang, President of Tamkang University Golden Eagle Club Chiang Cheng-Jung, Vice President of Tamkang University Alumni Association Headquarters Tsang-Chiang Chen, and the Academic Vice President and Director of the Center for Holistic Education, Dr. Hui-Huang Hsu. Many school supervisors were present at the event.
